Fenham

Fenham was a separate town until 1904, when it was incorporated into Newcastle Township. Fenham is an area to the west of the city centre, and is bounded on the north and east by a large area of open land known as the Town Moor. The area has an ethnically mixed population, and is also home to a large number of students.

You can find almost every church, temple and mosque for your needs in Fenham. You can buy a dish from almost any traditional cuisine in a world. There is a pub, multiple post offices and a little high-street street where most of the local amenities are based including many speciality stores such as a halal butchers and Asian jewellery and clothing stores alongside bigger brand shops. The area also benefits from a library, swimming pool and bowling alley.

Newcastle city centre is in walking distance of parts of the Fenham area and other parts have access to the City using the fantastic bus services which run every 5 minutes.
